This policy explains what personal data Zaplix collects, why we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. Questions? Write to support@zaplixworld.com.

01Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Zaplix collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal data when you use www.zaplixworld.com, purchase products, contact support, authenticate a product, register warranty or interact with Zaplix communications.

For purposes of applicable data-protection law, Zaplix is operated by Zaplix Lifestyle Private Limited, a private limited company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with its principal / registered business address at No. 11, 8th Cross, Sudhamanagar, Bangalore - 560027, Karnataka, India. Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and its rules apply, Zaplix Lifestyle Private Limited will act as the Data Fiduciary for the processing described in this policy.

02Personal data we may collect

Depending on how you interact with Zaplix, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact data: name, email address, mobile number, billing / delivery address and account details;
  • Order and transaction data: products ordered, order number, invoice information, payment status, refunds, delivery status and purchase history;
  • Product authentication and warranty data: product serial number, QR verification record, purchase invoice upload, warranty status, verification date and claim records;
  • Support data: messages, call or chat records where lawfully recorded, photographs, videos, complaint details and correspondence;
  • Technical data: IP address, device / browser information, approximate location derived from IP, log data, cookie identifiers, security events and website usage information;
  • Marketing preference data: newsletter / launch sign-up, communication preferences, campaign interactions and consent / withdrawal records; and
  • Other information you voluntarily provide that is reasonably necessary for the service requested.

Zaplix does not intentionally collect full payment-card credentials where payment is handled by an independent payment gateway. The gateway may provide us with transaction identifiers, masked details and payment status needed to complete the order.

03How we collect personal data

We collect personal data directly from you when you place an order, create an account, complete a form, contact support, authenticate a product or upload an invoice. We may also receive limited data from payment providers, logistics partners, marketplaces, marketing / analytics providers and authorized sellers where necessary to fulfil an order, verify a purchase, prevent fraud or provide support.

04Why we use personal data

We may process personal data to:

  • create and manage accounts, orders and deliveries;
  • process payments, refunds, COD confirmation and fraud checks;
  • authenticate products, prevent counterfeit registrations and administer warranty;
  • respond to support, complaints, returns, replacements and warranty claims;
  • send transactional messages about orders, delivery, verification, security and support;
  • send marketing communications where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by law;
  • operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website and services;
  • measure website performance and campaign effectiveness using cookies / similar technologies where permitted;
  • maintain accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, legal and compliance records; and
  • establish, exercise or defend legal claims and comply with lawful requests from authorities.

05Consent and choice

Where processing depends on your consent, Zaplix will seek consent through a clear affirmative action and provide information about the data and purpose. Consent for optional marketing will be separate from product authentication, warranty administration or other service that does not require marketing consent.

You may withdraw consent for optional processing using the unsubscribe link, account / cookie settings where available, or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully carried out and may not prevent processing that is permitted or required on another lawful basis under applicable law.

06Product verification invoice uploads

Invoice upload is mandatory for the Zaplix product-authentication / warranty-registration flow. The invoice is used to validate the purchase, reduce counterfeit or fraudulent registrations, establish warranty eligibility and support future claims. Please upload only the purchase document required for this purpose and avoid including unrelated sensitive information.

07Marketing communications

If you opt in to marketing, Zaplix may send product launches, offers, content and brand updates by email, SMS, WhatsApp or another channel you select or permit. You can opt out of promotional communications at any time. Transactional or service messages necessary for an existing order, security, verification or warranty may still be sent.

08Cookies and similar technologies

Zaplix may use cookies, pixels, SDKs or similar technologies for essential website functions, security, preferences, analytics and advertising. Non-essential technologies will be handled in accordance with the Cookie Policy and applicable consent requirements.

09How we share personal data

We may share only the data reasonably necessary with service providers and partners that support our operations, such as:

  • payment gateways and financial-service providers;
  • shipping, courier, warehousing and fulfilment partners;
  • website hosting, cloud storage, security and IT providers;
  • email, SMS, WhatsApp, CRM and customer-support providers;
  • analytics and advertising providers, subject to applicable consent choices;
  • authorized marketplaces or sellers where necessary to verify an order or resolve a claim;
  • professional advisers, auditors and insurers where necessary; and
  • government authorities, regulators, law enforcement or courts when disclosure is lawfully required.

Zaplix does not sell or rent personal data as a business model. If the business undergoes a merger, restructuring or transfer, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.

10Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, legal / tax / accounting obligations, fraud prevention, warranty administration, customer support, dispute resolution and enforcement of agreements.

Retention periods vary by record type. For example, transaction and invoice records may be retained for statutory accounting / tax periods; verification and warranty records may be retained for the warranty period plus a reasonable dispute period; and marketing preference records may be retained while consent remains active and for a reasonable period to evidence the preference or withdrawal.

11Security

Zaplix uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data and risk, including access controls, secure hosting / storage practices, authentication, logging and restricted access to invoice and warranty documents. No internet service is completely risk-free, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

12Personal-data breaches

If a personal-data breach occurs, Zaplix will investigate, contain and remediate it and will provide notifications to affected individuals and / or authorities where required by applicable law.

13Children

The direct purchase, account and product-registration features are intended for persons who can lawfully provide the required information and consent. If the user is under 18, a parent or lawful guardian should complete the relevant transaction or provide any legally required verifiable consent. Zaplix does not knowingly seek to profile children or direct behavioural advertising to children.

14Your privacy rights

Depending on the law in force and applicable to the processing, you may have rights to request information about your personal data, correction or updating, erasure where legally available, withdrawal of consent, grievance redressal and other rights provided by the DPDP Act or other applicable law.

To make a privacy request, contact support@zaplixworld.com. We may reasonably verify your identity before acting on a request. Certain information may need to be retained where required by law or necessary for an ongoing legal claim, fraud investigation or completed transaction.

15Cross-border processing

Some service providers may process or store data outside India. Zaplix will make such transfers only where permitted by applicable law and subject to any restrictions, safeguards or contractual measures required at the relevant time.

16Third-party websites

Links to third-party websites or services are provided for convenience. Their privacy practices are controlled by the respective third party, not Zaplix, and should be reviewed separately.

17Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology, data practices or legal obligations change. The updated date will be shown on the website. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain fresh consent for a materially different purpose.
